Hi we were planning a trip march 1-6 staying at art of animation- any chance it would be warm enough to swim in the pools then?

    Hi Jill,

You'll find guests using the Walt Disney World pools in all sorts of weather conditions. I've even seen folks swimming on mornings in January when it got cold enough for a heavy frost. So some of it depends on your constitution. (You won't catch this Florida girl in the pool if the temperature is in the 60s or below, for sure.)

During March, temperatures can vary greatly, but are generally moderate with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the mid- to upper 50s. The good news: the pools at Walt Disney World resorts are heated to a comfortable 82 degrees all the time.

The Big Blue Pool at Art of Animation is awesome. The zero-entry pool is the largest at any Disney resort and is so beautifully themed, right down to the underwater music. I also find the Cozy Cone pool relaxing and appealing.

One tip for you: Towels are not provided poolside at Art of Animation, so make sure you grab yours from your room or suite. If you need more, Mousekeeping will be happy to replenish your supply.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jill. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you make your final plans for your vacation. Enjoy!
