We are planning our trip for March but have early flights that would put us in Orlando around 1130am...If we arrive to our hotel before check in but our room is not ready and we want to go to Disney Springs for lunch, is the hotel able to hold luggage?

Hello, Janice, and welcome to planDisney.

I try to arrive as early as possible, as well, when traveling to Walt Disney World. I like to try and squeeze in every ounce of magic possible while there! I think you'll be happy to know that whichever Disney Resorts Collection Hotel that you are staying at will be happy to hold your luggage for you while you start your day. When you arrive at the resort, you'll just look for the Bell Services counter. At some resorts, this can be found right outside of the lobby before you enter and at others, it is located inside. But it's easy to spot so I don't think you'll have a hard time finding it. The Bell Services Cast Member will count the number of pieces you want to store and give you a receipt to hold on to. If you have anything to be refrigerated, they can do this for you as well. You'll just need to point out which pieces need to be kept cold. When your room is ready and you are back at the resort, you can either stop by the Bell Services counter again and pick up or belongings or head straight up to your room. Once there, you can use the in-room phone to call down to request your things. This is a complimentary service for you but I like to tip the Cast Members bringing up my things a few dollars. They'll never ask for it but are always very appreciative.

Spending the Afternoon that you arrive at Disney Springs is such a fun idea. My family and I love Disney Springs and you can find us hanging out down there to enjoy a nice meal or listening to live music most nights of our vacation. If you are looking to start your vacation off with a great meal, I suggest reserving a table at The BOATHOUSE. It's my current favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World. The restaurant is set right on the lake and provides stunning views of Disney Springs. There is something on the menu for everyone which makes it nice if you are dining with picky eaters. My current go-to order is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. Oh, I am hungry for it just typing that all out! If there's room at the end of the meal, the key lime pie in a jar is a terrific way to finish a fantastic meal off. You can't go wrong dining there.

I hope you enjoy your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other planning questions before you go, I'd love it if you stopped back by to ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
