I am planning a trip in March to Disney World. I am considering boarding my elderly poodle at the pet care facility that is on Disney property. Has anyone had any experience with this facility? I was thinking I could go visit him during the trip.

Hi Cynthia! I have a beloved fur-baby too, so I can totally understand you wanting to make sure your poodle-prince is taken care while you're on vacation. We've been fortunate to leave our Shih Tzu with family while we vacation at Walt Disney World Resort but I have looked at the services provided at Best Friends Pet Care located across from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.

The great thing about Best Friends Pet Care is you can drop in for a visit whenever you like, they're open one hour before the theme parks open through one hour after closing.

For the most comfort for your elderly pet I would recommend booking a Vacation Villa - which offers spacious 72 square-foot suite. When you book this package your pet will receive one potty walk, playgroup time, a flat-screen television and end the night with a turndown biscuit.

All pets visiting Best Friends Pet Care must be up-to-date on their vaccines. Written proof is required from a veterinarian so you will need to bring a copy with you to present at check-in. For more information about prices or to make an appointment, call (877) 493-9738.

I hope that helps answer your question.  Wishing you and your pet a magical and memorable vacation!
