we are planning a trip on March 30-april 3rd. 5 adults and two children 2 and 5 years old. We want to book a hotel, low to medium pricing and booked tickets for Magic and Animal Kingdom. Also get the lighting pass

Welcome, Adalberto, to planDisney and your one-stop guide to planning your dream vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. I’m not going to waste any time. Let’s get into it!

First things first, let’s book this trip:

    1. Navigate to the Disney World website. At the top, input your check-in date as March 30 and your checkout date as April 3. Select 5 adults, 2 children, enter their ages at time of travel, select "Disney Resort Hotels," and click the “View Rates” button.
    2. You’re likely going to notice that with a party of this size, if you’d like to stay in the same room, the cheapest option will be a suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. If you’d like to split up your party, that would likely open up more options. Just note that you would have to book each reservation separately.
    3. Select the hotel that looks the most desirable, and on the next page, make sure you are selecting “Package” or an offer that fits what you are looking for.
    4. Click “Select” next to the offer you’re interested in, and on the next page, select how many days you’d like to be in the theme parks. Please note that when you are booking a vacation package, which includes a multi-day theme park ticket, you can typically enter any of the four theme parks for that number of days in your ticket window.
    5. Select the type of ticket you’d like (1 Park Per Day, Park Hopper Option, etc.). Once set, click “Continue.”
    6. If you’d like a Dining Plan, you’ll add it on the next page. Either way, click “Continue.”
    7. This page will allow you to review all the details of your trip and add any last-minute add-ons. Once you’re ready, click the “Continue” button and follow the prompts to make your deposit and book that trip!
When it comes to Lightning Lanes, as a Guest staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you’ll be able to book them at 7 a.m., 7 days before your arrival date. You’ll do this through the My Disney Experience mobile app. And since I’d never leave you hanging, I’ve got some tips for you!

    Lightning Lane Multi Pass

    • You can book 3 of these experiences in advance of your visit.
    • For every Lightning Lane you use on the day of your visit, you can book another one, subject to availability.
    • For each theme park, except for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you will choose one experience from Group 1 and two from Group 2, or all three from Group 2, but that’s not recommended.
    • For Animal Kingdom, you can pick any 3 of the eligible experiences.
    Lightning Lane Single Pass

    • These are the most in-demand attractions, and currently, there is one in each park, with the exception of two being in Magic Kingdom Park.
    • You can purchase up to 2 of these per person, per day.
Please note that you can purchase these separately or together. It’s à la carte, like the menu options of so many great Disney restaurants, but that’s another topic for another day!

Adalberto, please come back if you have any other questions. I can’t wait for you to experience the magic of the resort!

    See you in the parks,
    Matt
