Planning our 1st trip in late June '09 & staying at Saratoga. We have 7, 5, & 3yo.Is it true that using WDW transportation could take us an hour to get to parks/resorts?Little ones arent always up for that wait.Would we be better off renting a car?

Hi Andrea!  I am not saying it is not possible that getting to a park would take an hour but it is highly unlikely. During the more crowded times the busses will be more full and your wait time might increase but having a car isn't necessarily going to ease all of that problem.  When taking the Disney busses you will be dropped very close to the entrances for each park.  When driving you can find yourself a great distance away and still having to wait for the little trams to get you to the entrance.  For the Magic Kingdom the parking lot is not close and you have to take a tram from the parking lot to either the monorail or the ferry to reach the entrance.  The bus will drop you off within feet!  The only park we ever really enjoyed driving to was the Animal Kingdom park but we were always there early enough to get close parking.

The general times for bus transportation from Saratoga Springs to the parks is as follows:
22 minutes to Animal Kingdom park
    15 minutes to Hollywood Studios
    15 minutes to EPCOT
    12 minutes to Magic Kingdom

You need to also add 10-15 minutes for wait times.  Hopefully you will have better luck then my own family....we always seem to "just miss" the bus we need and have to sit and wait for the next one!
