Hi. We are planning on a trip in late August and hoping to get the free dining plan option if it becomes available. I was wondering which buffets if any are only 1 ts credit and are they for breakfast, dinner, etc. Do you recommend family style dining?

I like the way you think, Kim! All buffets in the Disney Dining Plan use only one table service credit, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. That being said, if you're paying out of pocket, the cost of the meal and the cuisine tend to vary. For example, a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends will cost less per person than it would for dinner.

Hard dollar costs aside, it's all the same in the eyes of the Disney Dining Plan. Either meal choice would take one table service credit. We tend to bring bagels and granola bars with us to eat in the room for breakfast and then use our table service dining credit for dinner to get the biggest bang for our buck.

I've never sought out family style dining as I have buffets, but rest assured that with either option, you won't be hungry when you leave.
