I am planning a trip in late April. Will it be warm enough to swim? Are the pools heated? I have a 2 year old and 6 year old. I am interested in staying at a resort with a pool that would be great for young children. Where should we stay?

    Hi Sherry,

How great that you have a trip planned!  Be sure to say hi if you see me on Main Street USA....my family will be in Disney in April as well!

Orlando typically boasts lovely weather during April, with highs in the low to mid 80s and lows in the 60s.  The mornings and evenings can still be cool, depending upon what you are accustomed to and the specific year, so I would still ensure that you pack light jackets or sweatshirts for your crew.

As for pools, by staying on property, you can't really go wrong.  All of the pools I have seen and or splashed in are well-themed and a great way to spend an afternoon.  Some of my family's favorites are:

    • Stormalong Bay at the Beach and Yacht Club
    • Uzima Pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge
    • The amazing pirate pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort
    • All Star Movies Resort

    Have a wonderful visit!
