I am planning a trip for a large family. If I purchase a 5 day pass and someone can only use 4 days can I switch to a 4 day pass before they use the ticket and get a refund for the difference?

Hello, Stephanie! Thanks for your question!

Five days at the Disneyland Resort sounds absolutely dreamy! So I sure hope everyone in your party is able to stay the whole time. However, if there is a possibility that one person can only visit for four days, purchasing a four-day ticket for that individual would be the best bet. Theme park tickets are nonrefundable, so you wouldn't be able to get the cost of that last day back if they didn't use it. However, if that person does end up being able to join you for the fifth day, they could easily stop by a ticket booth before the parks close on that fourth day and upgrade their four-day ticket to a five-day ticket. It's crucial that the upgrade is done while their ticket is still valid, so it must be done on or before the fourth day of their visit. I hope that makes sense!

Another thing to consider before that person upgrades to a fifth day is whether the park they want to visit has reservation availability. Be sure to check the theme park reservation availability calendar before choosing to upgrade to the fifth day. If the park they want is available, they will want to make a theme park reservation on the Disneyland app as soon as their ticket is upgraded.

I hope you all have a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
