Planning on a 1st trip with kids 9 and 12 in November around Thanksgiving....do you find it is busier before Thanksgiving or after? Also, looking at a package deal with park hopper option...we should be there about 5 days of park use, is this worth it?

    Hi Colleen!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

Generally speaking, there is not that much difference between the week before Thanksgiving and the week after Thanksgiving!  Both are great times to visit in terms of the crowds as they will be low to medium based on previous years.

It is hard to say if the Park Hopper option is "worth it".  You can definitely go to Walt Disney World and have a great time without it.  My family has done that many times.  However, it is also fair to say that the Park Hopper option does provide you with more flexibility.  For example, some guests love dining at one of the fabulous restaurants in Epcot's World Showcase each night.  Or you can visit a park in the day and then switch to another park at night.  It really depends on how you tour.

By the way, since it is your first visit, I highly recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information without being overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
