    I am planning a trip for June with my 7 year old daughter and I'm having trouble choosing a hotel. I want to stay at a moderate or value resort. Which would you recommend? Caribbean, Coronado, or Pop Resort? I want something closest to the parks.

    My favorite Value resort is Pop Century and my favorite Moderate resort is Port Orleans Riverside, followed by the Caribbean Beach Resort. Unfortunately, none of the Value or Moderate resorts are particularly close to a theme park. However, it's very easy to ride a Disney bus from these resorts and on average should take between 30 and 45 minutes, including wait time.

    My family loves the rustic atmosphere of the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside. We also love the theming of the rest of the resort and things like the boat to Downtown Disney, carriage rides at night, and being able to use the pool at both Riverside and French Quarter. Pool hopping is generally not allowed, but in this case it is as both are considered to be part of the overall Port Orleans resort.

    Caribbean Beach Resort is also a nice resort and it has, in my opinion, the best pool of any Moderate resort on property. However, the resort is very large. I recommend reserving a preferred room if you chose this resort.

    Coronado Springs is a nice resort and I know a lot of guests who love it. It also has a great pool area.  However, it caters to a lot of business people attending conferences. When I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World, I'd rather not be reminded of work by seeing a few people in business suits with briefcases, etc. The resort is also very large and spread out resulting in it having an internal shuttle system.

    Pop Century is a nice Value resort. When deciding between a Value and a Moderate resort, first decide how much time you think you will be spending at the resort. If you are only using the resort as a place to shower and sleep then I would go with Pop Century. However, if you plan on spending some time at the resort, such as at the pool or at at Table Service restaurant (which doesn't exist at the Value resorts), then I recommend Port Orleans or the Caribbean Beach Resort.
