We are planning a trip in June, wanting to stay at Fort Wilderness Campground, wondering if it would be better to get a meal plan for the times when we are in the park to eat or just plan all meals in the campground?

Hi Stefani!  I am not sure if you are planning to camp, RV, or reserve one of the cabins in Fort Wilderness for your vacation.  Whatever option you are choosing it is often not an economical decision to use the meal plans.  For those who are camping or using an RV you will have the equipment and ability to cook many meals on your own at your site.  The cabins come furnished with a complete kitchen and most families opt to eat breakfast and often lunch or dinner at the cabins.  This can be a better economical way to dine while on vacation and you can use one of many of the grocery delivery services in the area so you do not even need to hit the grocery store....they will do that for you and have it waiting on your arrival!

Just because you are not on a dining plan does not mean you can't find a restaurant for one meal a day to taste some of the great dining choices throughout the property. There are awesome table service locations as well as great quick service spots too in all of the parks!  And don't forget one of the dining secrets that is right there at Fort Wilderness.....Trails End!  We think they have the best barbecue and fried chicken anywhere!
