Hi Krista! Welcome to planDisney!
I have the fondest memories of the first time we brought our daughters to the
Walt Disney World Resort. Seeing Disney through their eyes is one of the best feelings as a parent. I still remember the first time we saw the nighttime show, Happily Ever After at the
Magic Kingdom Park. Holding them in my arms as Tinkerbell flew through the air brought tears to my eyes. The Disney magic was alive!
My family has utilized both
Disney Genie+ and
Rider Switch on multiple occasions. Disney Genie+ has allowed us to enjoy more of the parks since we can minimize wait times on many attractions. And Rider Switch gives my wife and me a chance to ride some of the larger attractions that our daughters are unable to enjoy.
To use both services at the same time, you will need to make a Disney Genie+ reservation for each person in the party that will be riding the attraction. Once your time slot has been called, each of you will need to head to the Cast Member at the front of the ride line and let them know you will like to use Rider Switch. They will ask who will ride second and scan that person's
MagicBand. The first rider will then enter the attraction through the Lightning Lane entrance while the second rider is free to explore the park with your daughter. Once the first rider exits the ride, the second rider will then enter through the Lightning Entrance again.
Krista, I have a feeling that Genie+ and Rider Switch will be your best friend on this trip, shall we say the Buzz to your Woody! Between
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and
Avatar Flight of Passage, you do not want to miss out on these out-of-this-world attractions!
Happy planning and we'll see ya real soon!
