Planning trip in June 2011. Want to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. Villas vs rms is the debate we are having. 13 people, 4 families (ages 4 to 64) & my dad's a wheelchair/walker user - needs roomy place to stay. May have to do laundry a few times. Thoug

Hi Mary Kay!  From the needs you have described I would suggest the Wilderness Lodge Villas for the choice resort for your Disney vacation!  With the ages being from 4-64 it would be nice to have separate bedrooms where younger children can nap while the adults visit or vice versa.  They will come with a complete kitchen so you can save money for breakfasts and snacks if not for more meals.  They also come with the laundry facilities and this is a great advantage over having to find the resort laundry room and finding time to spend doing it there.  When making your reservations please request a handicapped accessible villa for your dad.  This will make his stay more enjoyable and easier.

We tried the villas for our last vacation last year and will definitely use them again when taking our children and grandchildren along.  It just gives you more room and the ability to be together without infringing on privacy and down time.  Disney can be a busy place and I enjoy coming back to a room where I can kick back and not worry about interruptions.  The Villas offer this since the bedrooms are separate from the living areas.

Enjoy...you will love the Wilderness Lodge area. The trees and lake provide a peaceful backdrop to the magical parks!
