Hello, Sharona!
Your first Disney Vacation! How exciting!
There are many options from which to choose, so I suggest that you begin your search on
Walt Disney World's website. Once there, look to the left side of your screen, where you'll find a box which reads "Price Your Vacation." Begin with "Packages" and enter a particular date on which you could travel, including the number of adults and children in your party. For "Resort Hotel," leave it at "No Preference" so that the system will bring up the greatest variety of choices for you, from Deluxe Villas to Value Resorts. From the results there, you'll be able to see the range of costs among these packages, as well as where the costs are coming from. For example, once you click on one of the results, you can change a particular room option within a property, remove features from the tickets offered, etc. It's a good place to start.
Here are some additional considerations: What time of year will you be traveling? Are there any favorite characters / movies in your party? Do you want the ability to cook small meals / full meals / do the laundry at your resort? Is there a park you think you'll spend more time in than the others? If you answer these questions prior to your search, it will help you to maximize the value of your vacation dollars, too.
Once you have a better understanding of your options, send me your additional questions, so that I can help you narrow your choices down until you have the best fit for you and your family. I'd love to help you make this the most magical, memorable vacation you could possibly have!
