Welcome back to planDisney, Jerome! As a fellow grandparent, I am so excited to hear that you are planning a trip with your grandchildren! Taking my kids to Walt Disney World Resort has been one of my greatest joys, but there's a whole different level of bliss to experience the magic of Disney with our grandchildren! I am happy to help you with this question!
My personal recommendation is to book your trip for four in a resort room that sleeps five. Include park tickets for four, as well. If things work out and your third grandchild is able to join you, you can call
Walt Disney World Resort Tickets and Reservations and add him to the package or room-only reservation. This will be easier than having to remove him later, should his schedule prevent him from traveling with you.
There are several options for a family of five at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. I'll list a few of my favorites for you:
- Disney's Art of Animation Resort - A family suite sleeps up to six and has two bathrooms! The theming here is so fun, and the Big Blue Pool is the largest on property!
- The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - Our family has had some wonderful experiences here! The cabins sleep up to six and have a fully-equipped kitchen. This resort has lots of incredible amenities, including a Campfire Sing-A-Long with Chip 'N' Dale, pony rides, fishing, and archery.
- Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Don't get me started on this resort! It has savanna views and incredible dining options that will make you want to never leave!
I just know you are going to make the most magical memories with your grandkids. They will never forget it. And I hope you get the chance to feel like a kid again, too, Jerome! If we can help with anything else, please let us know! We here at planDisney love answering questions and helping people plan Disney vacations!
Always Dreaming -
