Planning a trip for June 2015 to celebrate my In laws 50th Aniversary while their my daughter will turn 13. What is a fun way to help celebrate her big day. Also my mother in law will bring her mobility cart are the buses and monarail able to acommadate?

    Melody:

Sounds like you have a lot to celebrate next summer. There are many ways to mark your daughter's passage to the teen years: dinner at a Signature Restaurant, a Photo Session, a cake ordered from the cake hotline (407-827-2253) or a special delivery. But one of the most special experiences I have had in my over 2 dozen trips to Disney was my first private fireworks cruise just last week. Our family had done the Pirates & Pals cruise but this cruise was just for our family.

I booked a premium cruise on a pontoon boat for 8 of us 180-days-out from trip arrival at 407-939-7529. We paid $371.69 before our tip. (Keep in mind that prices can change.) The one-hour cruise included drinks, snacks, and our captain was prepared with warm blankets for us--probably not a problem for you guys next summer. Best of all, the boat met us at the marina of our resort. Although we loaded from the back, the entrance may be a little tight for your mom's scooter, however, the pontoons have a side gate and can be parked at the dock to load there, if needed. Pontoons are usually even with the dock.

We enjoyed Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon, taking in the lit Magic Kingdom resorts at night along with the Electrical Water Pageant. The night ended with our own front-and-center view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, complete with piped music in the boat. No crowds. No waiting. And all at a price that was less than the Pirates & Pals cruise for our larger group. I'd highly recommend it for both celebrations.

    Wishing y'all a memorable vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
