    We are planning a trip for July 2013. We are trying to have a very budget friendly trip. Any suggestions? And can you use disney gift cards to pay for hotel and park tickets? Thanks so much :)

    Hi Joshua - you can use Disney Gift Cards to pay for hotel and park tickets.  You can also use the gift card to pay at many restaurants and shops on property - visit the Disney Gift Card website for more details. 

    There are lots of ways you can save money on your trip.  For instance, if you take advantage of complimentary Disney transportation, you won't have to rent a car.  You can also bring snacks along with you, and bring them into the park.  My family often brings along cereal bars for breakfasts, so we don't have to buy breakfast on property.

    You can also bring your own water bottles into the park as a way to save money.  One idea is to stick them in a freezer for a while to get them very cold - they'll stay cool longer throughout the day.
