Hi! Planning 2nd trip in July. Staying off-site. Want to take PM break, but don't really want to get back in the car and go to our hotel. What would you recommend for a break from each of the parks that we could walk to or use Disney transportation? Thank

Hi, Lori!   Visiting nearby resorts is a great way to take an afternoon break!   When at the Magic Kingdom, hop on the monorail where you can choose from one of 3 great resorts.  My family's favorite resort to take a break is at Grand Floridian.   We like to lounge in the lobby with its lovely flower arrangements, soaring ceiling, and even kid-size sofas with cartoons playing!   Grab a quick service lunch and sit by the marina, or visit the Grand Floridian Cafe for a relaxing table service lunch.

Another resort we like to visit (a short walk from Epcot or a boat ride from Hollywood Studios) is the Beach Club.   This resort has a charming lobby and we enjoy Beaches and Cream for a great burgers and ice cream.

Animal Kingdom is a bit further out, but hop on the bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  The lobby is amazing and you can walk out to the decks to view the savannah.   The gift shop here is huge and there are some nice dining options.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the pools at any of the resorts unless you are a guest at that resort, but take time to have some lunch, shop, and see what the resorts have to offer!   Have fun checking out all there is to see!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
