we are planning a trip in July. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my legs and fibromyalgia. I am afraid that all the walking and standing is going to make the pain be to much. Any Ideas how to make this easier for all of us? I dont want to ruin our trip.

    Hi Tina,

There are a few options for you.  You can rent a wheel chair or an ECV(electric convenience vehicle-electric wheelchair) They are available for daily or multi day rentals.  Click HERE for more information on how and where to rent them.

You could also rent/buy a walker from home.  My mother-in-law did this and it worked out really well.  Hers had a seat on it so she could sit when she got tired.

My other suggestion would be if you did not want to rent the wheel chair that you just take frequent breaks to rest your legs once they get tired.  Make sure you stay hydrated / nourished(lots of water) so that you don't run out of energy.  Some easy stretches to help loosen up your legs would also help once you started to feel them get achy.

    Thank you for your question.
Don't worry, you and your family will have a fantastic time!
