Hi, Jennifer!
The dance competitions at
ESPN Wide World of Sports are so much fun! The facilities are fabulous. Your daughter is going to remember her dance competition in WDW for a long, long time!
While there are no special events planned in July, there are long days in the parks with Extra Magic Hours late into the night. You might want to check out the
Sounds Like Summer Concert Series in Epcot to see if any of your favorites will be performing.
You may also want to check with your dance troupe to see if they have anything special planned. Perhaps a group of you may want to organize a dinner or an outing at a Water Park.
To stay on budget, you will want to book a Standard Room at a Value Resort as these will be the most economical rooms on property. To save money on food, feel free to bring snacks into the park with you. Quick service locations will have the best price on food, and to save even more, skip the expensive soft drinks and opt for cups of ice water that are always free at counter service locations.
For snacks, get something you can all share like a bucket of popcorn. For a healthy snack, grab a piece of fruit (available at locations throughout the parks) for less than $1.50 per piece.
Before you leave home, set a budget for everyone for souvenirs. I like to get each of my kids their own Disney Gift Card. When it is at a zero balance, that's it! They budget very wisely when they need to!
Have a great time at your daughter's dance competition - tell her GOOD LUCK!
