Planning 1st trip in January--weather normally mild, heated resort pools. However, is it really warm enough to swim? My kids love pools--half the fun of vacation! Will they be able to enjoy/use pools in January w/o freezing?

    Hi Vicki!

This is a really hard question to answer as it really depends on the individual.  However, I can tell you that my family has gone swimming in Walt Disney World in January and February.  My boys, ages 13 and 8, absolutely love it.  We're from Maryland, so while the weather might be cold for Florida, we don't find it that cold usually!  However, one January it was pretty cold and people wore jackets, scarves, and mittens around during the day for a few days.  Luckily, that doesn't happen that often.  Most of the time, you can walk around in just a shirt in the morning and you just need a light jacket in the evenings and at night.  One water park will be open and it is heated; the good news is it won't be crowded; the bad news is you can't stay in the heated water forever!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
