Hi Moms, planning a trip for January 2015 and I was just wondering if it would be warm enough to swim. We have been in December and the weather was perfect. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Lisa,

January is usually the coolest month in Central Florida, but the average temperatures are only slightly lower than those in December. The temperatures can vary quite a bit. I've been to Walt Disney World in January when it was almost frosty; I've also been when it was near 80.

The good news is that the pools at Walt Disney World are heated to 82 degrees year-round. No matter the air temperature, I've seen guests using the pools at all times of the year. It really depends on your own temperature tolerances. (I've lived in Central Florida for 30 years, so I'm a bit of a wimp.)

I would definitely pack swimsuits and hope that your visit coincides with some of the warmest days of January.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help as you make your plans. Enjoy!
