We are planning a trip in January, thinking of staying on the grounds and doing a vacation package at CBR. Going with a 5 and 10 year old. Any suggestions on where to stay and for how long? Also looked into staying across from Downtown Disney? Thoughts???

    Hello there Amanda!

I believe that the best advice is to go with what you can afford on your budget. There are wonderful resorts at Walt Disney world and there are all kinds of price ranges. If you would like to stretch your purse a little more, then I would look into the value resorts because they do have great theming and then you can do a few of the things which you wouldn't have normally done if you were staying somewhere that is more expensive. I have stayed on the property and outside the property in various accommodations. My favorite so far has been Animal Kingdom Lodge! It really is an amazing resort! But my second favorite is All Star Movies... go figure! The Downtown Disney resorts do offer some added value at times but you do not get the complete Disney atmosphere.

For a length of stay, it also depends on your budget. Park tickets start to cost less as the amount of time increases so I wouldn't worry about that too much. I would look at between a 5-7 day trip. The kids will really enjoy being there for that long because there isn't too much of a rush to get every park in before they leave. Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel if you have more questions, I'm always here to help! I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort!
