We are planning a trip in January 2016 and thinking about staying at Caribbean Beach. If we were to get a pirate themed room for us and our kids and just a standard room for the grandparents, are the 2 types of rooms available in the same buildings?

    Hi Stacy,

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation with your family!  If you have never visited Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort before, you are in for a real treat.  This lush tropical themed Resort hotel has an amazing feature pool, sandy beaches, hammocks, and such a relaxing laid back Caribbean atmosphere it is hard to believe you are in central Florida.

I have recently stayed in the Pirate themed rooms with my family and can report that currently only Pirate themed rooms are located in the village known as Trinidad South.  The remainder of the Resort rooms and villages have recently undergone refurbishment and sport a bright new Caribbean Beach motif.  If being close to the grandparents is important to you, then you should decide if the Pirate themed rooms are a good choice for the entire party because currently both types of rooms are not available in the same building.

While my family really enjoyed our stay in the Pirate themed rooms, it is important to know that the Pirate themed rooms have full sized beds while the remainder of the rooms in the rest of the Resort have 2 Queen sized (or 1 King sized) bed.  Another consideration for you to know is the Pirate themed rooms are the furthest away from Old Port Royale which houses the food court and the main Morro del Fuentes pool.  There is a continuous internal Resort bus to transport Guests throughout the Resort so you do not need to do a lot of walking, but it does take extra time to reach Old Port Royale.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question.  If you have any more questions about Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort hotel or any other Disney vacation planning question, please come back and visit us again.  We are always happy to help!
