Planning 1st trip, January is about only month that works. However, worried about weather. Found the avgs, which don't look bad, but how often does it snow/get really cold in Florida (as in too cold to ride/below 40 degrees?!!!)

    Hi Vicki,

I have been to Walt Disney World many times in January for the 1/2 Marathon weekend as well as over the week of New Year's Day.  I have found the weather to be quite pleasant.  Only one year did the temperature reach a low in the mid 30s in the morning but quickly was warmer by Midday.  The average temperatures are highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.  I have never seen it snow in Walt Disney World (besides the fake snow during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!)   We always bring plenty of clothes to layer especially once the sun goes down.  We always bring mittens and scarves as well, just in case.  One of the great benefits of going in January is that the crowds are generally lower.  I really don't think the weather should deter you from going in January.  I know you will just have the most magical vacation, Vicki!
