We are planning a trip on January 1-8 2012. I know it's crowed at Christmas but what about during this time? Most kids are back in school on the 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....thank you!!!!!!

    Hi Natalie,

January 1st and 2nd will still have extreme crowds. In fact, these can be "park at capacity" days.  Crowds begin to diminish on January 3rd as the holiday vacationers return home. Mid-level crowds are usually seen for a couple more days. The lowest level of crowds will be seen from approximately January 5 - 12th.

Since New Year's Day falls on a Sunday this year, some school districts are giving at least the Monday off as the holiday. Here in Tennessee, my son's school district resumes on Thursday, January 5th.

If I can be of further help, just me know!

Starting the New Year in WDW will get your year of to a great start but it won't necessarily be under low crowd conditions. Cheers!
