We are planning trip January 25th - 29th. When can I buy tickets and book hotel? Also will there be fireworks that time of year?

    Hello, RaeLynn! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! I'm so thrilled you're dreaming about a visit to Disneyland and am excited for all the wonder and fun you will surely experience. Also, your dates are quite literally the exact same dates as my very first visit to the Happiest Place on Earth with my two young boys. Oh, what a magical stay that was! You're going to love Disneyland at the end of January!

Thank you for your great question. You are definitely not the only one to be wishing upon a star for 2026 booking dates to open. Guests are currently able to book a Disneyland Resort Hotel stay or vacation package through December 31, 2025. However, for those of us eager to "Celebrate Happy" into the new year, the good news is we don't have to wait much longer. Based on previous years, we can expect dates for early 2026 to appear sometime in late August 2025 - which is so soon! Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates as this is usually the first place to share news about hotel booking windows and vacation packages. I also recommend checking in with the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page on the Disneyland website, which will provide you with the most current ways to maximize the magic!

Disneyland vacation packages include your Disneyland Resort Hotel stay and theme park ticket bundled together. If you'd like to purchase only theme park tickets on their own, this can typically occur around 180 days out. At the time of this writing, theme park tickets can be secured through February 2026!

As for fireworks in Disneyland Park that time of year, typically they've occurred on weekends only - but that's just a guess! I encourage you to check the Daily Events Calendar on the Disneyland website six weeks prior to your visit, under "Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment," for the most current information. Make sure your particular date is selected from the "Change Date" at the top.

My family's favorite spot to view the fireworks is over by "it's a small world," as the crowds are usually much lighter back there! Projections will be up on the attraction's facade, so make sure you have a clear view of "it's a small world!" Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin to claim a spot.

Although I wish I had more details for you, RaeLynn, on when vacation package and hotel booking dates open for 2026, I'll keep my fingers crossed that, with a little pixie dust, the dreams that you wish will indeed come true.

Come visit us again real soon!

    Magic awaits,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
