Hi! Planning trip 23-30Jan'10 w/DH, DS8 & DD5. are some days better than other to vist certain parks? also plan to do CCastle bkfast on Sun 24 -is it better to do late bkfast to avoid being so crowded? i read to try to avoid going to a park on EMHs -

    Hi Norma,

Nice choice of dates, I'll be there too!  This is one of my favorite times of year to visit because the lack of crowds and cool temperatures makes park touring very enjoyable!  You really can't go wrong when visiting the parks mid-week during this time of year.  Weekends are always more popular due to local visitors, so if you intend on touring the Magic Kingdom on Sunday I suggest that you take the earliest dining reservation possible.  I believe that the earlier the reservation, the better chance you have for things to be running on time.  You'll be finished your meal and ready to take on a few attractions before many people even arrive at the park.  Then once the park gets busy, you can head back to your resort knowing you have the rest of the week ahead of you.

Honestly I feel that this time of year lends itself to a different touring strategy.  I like to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours, but also head right out of the park as soon as it becomes crowded and hop to another.  Many guests that do not park hop will spend the entire day at the EMH park...so I like to take advantage of the initial "resort guest only" time at the park and then hop off to another park.

I hope this was helpful, have a wonderful vacation!
