We are planning a trip Jan 8, 2022 to Jan 15, 2022. Will Walt Disney World still have their Christmas decorations up during that time?

Hello, Leslie! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to see us! I am so excited for you to experience Walt Disney World in winter! The holiday crowds have passed, there’s a chill in the air, and so much excitement for a fresh start! The holiday season starts early at Walt Disney World, and the official end of the season is not announced in advance. However, in the past, Guests have noted that decorations magically disappeared between the dates of January 2-6. While this is no guarantee, it is a safe bet that the Christmas decorations will have been packed away by that time.

Leslie, did you know that you will be on Disney property during the tail end of the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend? I’m not sure if you’ll be participating, but the runDisney expo is open to non-race Guests! Plus, the 50th-anniversary celebrations will still be ongoing, so there will be no shortage of fun! If we can help you with any other aspect of your trip, please do not hesitate to come back and see us! We love to help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
