Planning trip for 4/2012 with husband and 3 kids (ages 7,5,5).. which hotel would be better- GF or Beach Club? Better to have easier MK access at GF or is pool at Beach Club so great that it would be better to stay there and forego easier MK access? Thx!

    Hi Ellen!

I think you have the differences between those two wonderful Walt Disney World hotels nailed down.  The Grand Floridian is the flagship of the Disney owned and operated resorts and has very easy access to the Magic Kingdom.  Stormalong Bay, at the Beach Club, is an amazing sand bottom pool that children of all ages absolutely love.

If you think you will be spending the majority of your time in the Magic Kingdom, then I recommend going with the Grand Floridian.  However, if you want to spend a lot of time back at your resort, especially at the pool, then I recommend going with the Beach Club.  The Beach Club also has a great location if you're going to be spending time in Epcot.  It's located between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, on Crescent Lake.

Between the two resorts, I prefer the Beach Club.  The Grand Floridian is a nice resort is an awesome location, but I find the Beach Club more laid back and I love its pool.  Good luck with your decision!
