I am planning a trip with you guys but I need to change one of the names of the party how do I do this?

    Hiya, Heather!

You’ve got your Disneyland Resort theme park tickets linked with your account in the Disneyland app and you are just about ready to go! Now don’t let the worry over a Guest name in the app get you down though. After all, you are going to The Happiest Place on Earth!

You need not worry too much about the name in the app. Whether you are changing the makeup of your travel party or a name was inadvertently entered incorrectly, it will still be fine either way. The names linked to tickets in the Disneyland app are a convenience when using the tickets for park entrance or redeeming Disney FASTPASS return times (when available) for each Guest. Once a ticket is used for a given Guest, the ticket will be associated with that person until it expires. The ticket, either in printed form or in the app, will still work for that Guest, regardless of the name or label for the ticket in the app. As long as you keep track of which Guest belongs to which ticket you can keep using the tickets in the app without any issues.

Tony’s Tip: Each ticket has a unique number associated with it. Most pre-purchased Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are Disney eTickets, which can be linked in the Disneyland app even before they are activated. After an eTicket is activated at a turnstile entrance to Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, the eTicket is converted to a regular ticket with a new number. The number will appear on the new ticket printed right there at the turnstile. The number that appears in the Disneyland app will also automatically be updated to match the printed ticket. If you use the unique ticket numbers to keep your tickets straight, be sure to use the ticket number that is generated after your eTicket is activated.

I’m glad you are familiar with using the Disneyland app. You may also be aware of the Mobile Food & Beverage Order service as well. My family enjoys using this service to skip the line to order food at many of our favorite quick-service dining locations. In these days of social distancing, it’s also a great way to reduce close contact while we enjoy an incredible day at the Disney Parks.

If you have any more questions about your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation, we hope you will visit us again at planDisney soon. Have a magical time, Heather!
