We are planning a trip with a group for about 9 days but half way through we have friends joining us and our original party will split to stay at a new hotel with the arriving group. What is the easiest way to book the hotels with tickets and dining plan?

    Hi, there!

Welcome back to planDisney, Virginia. We're delighted to see you again! We just love helping you plan your Disney vacations. Let's chat!

A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with a big group is sure to be BIG fun. You ask an excellent question about your unique planning circumstances. If you'd like to book your vacation online, you'll need to book one Walt Disney World Vacation Package with a Disney Resort hotel stay, Theme Park Tickets, and dining plan for the initial group. Then you would need to make a separate booking for the second half of your vacation when you are moving to a different hotel and have more Guests joining you. It's all completely feasible to book multiple reservations for different parties online, but if that feels overwhelming, I encourage you to book your reservations over the phone with the help of a Cast Member. I once had to plan a Disney vacation for our extended family of 14, and even though I consider myself a Disney super planner, it was easier for me to book those multiple reservations over the phone. Just call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist you!

Be sure to book your dining reservations when your booking window opens up 60-days before your arrival date. The earlier you book those dining experiences, the better availability you'll find! When I planned that Disney vacation for my extended family, booking a reservation for all 14 of us wasn't always possible. In some instances, I would have to book two separate reservations for two smaller parties. When we arrived, we just let the Cast Member at the check-in stand know that we were one party of 14 and they made sure we were all seated together!

I hope this was helpful, Virginia. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
