Hi Alicia,
How exciting to be planning a special Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your precious grandchildren and children. I can't think of a better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than together at Disney. If it has been 20-years since you have visited, a LOT has changed.
Since you specifically asked about dining, I want to start there first. At exactly 180-days prior to your arrival, at 6:00am EST, you can book your Advanced Dining Reservations. With a little 4-year old princess, you are going to want to book
Cinderella's Royal Table if possible. This extremely popular restaurant is located inside of Cinderella Castle. You'll have the opportunity to dine with other Disney Princesses as well. The specific characters are never guaranteed, but you'll often see Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, and other favorites. I also recommend that you reserve
Chef Mickey's as this will give you the chance to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck. Also, since you will be there for Thanksgiving, you will definitely want to reserve your Thanksgiving feast together. I recommend Liberty Tree Tavern for Thanksgiving. This is a popular reservation, so be sure to book this at exactly 180-days prior to your arrival as well.
If you are visiting the parks for five days, I recommend that you spend two full days in the Magic Kingdom Park, and then one day in each of the other parks (Animal Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios). The little ones will really enjoy Animal Kingdom Park. In fact, I bet ALL of you will be impressed by it. It's my favorite park!
I'm out of room, but if you would like further assistance, please send a follow-up.
Wishing you magical memories,
Kaylene
