Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Ashanti!
Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to
Disney World! You picked an incredible time to visit because December in the parks feels like stepping straight into a Christmas card! OH, and the TIGGER-ific news is that you are definitely going to see fireworks on both of your planned days. Let’s break it down so you know exactly what kind of nighttime MAGIC to expect.
As I was reading your question, I wanted to let you know that
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not scheduled for December 20, 2025. The party dates around your visit are December 19 and December 21, which means December 20 is a regular day at
Magic Kingdom. That is amazing news for you because on the 20th, you will get to experience
Happily Ever After, complete with castle projections, soaring music, and all the feels. Plus, Magic Kingdom is scheduled to stay open until 10:00 PM, giving you extra time to enjoy that festive nighttime glow.
Now, let's discuss December 22 because this brings another type of holiday MAGIC. Since this is close to Christmas, Magic Kingdom switches to its special seasonal fireworks. So on December 22, 2025, you will not see Happily Ever After, but you will experience something just as spectacular because
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will be lighting up the sky. These fireworks are bright, joyful, beautifully themed, and full of holiday music that makes the whole park feel like it is singing along.
If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!
Have a MAGICAL day!
Wes
