Hey there, Samantha! Yay! I am so excited that you are planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort with your friend. Sounds like so much fun!
For
Military Promotional Tickets, the active service member will need to show valid military identification in order to purchase the tickets and when they are used for the first time. So when the two of you are ready for your first day of fun, you will both need to be present and your friend will need to show her military ID in order for both tickets to be activated. After activation, you can enter the parks on subsequent days alone if need be. If you are planning on using the three-day or four-day Military Promotional Tickets, keep in mind that they expire on December 19, 2017. There may be other tickets available at the base ticket office, so just be sure that your friend checks the fine print and expiration dates.
You and your friend might also consider purchasing the
PhotoPass Collection product which is available to military personnel for just $49. The two of you could take pictures all around both parks, at character dining locations, and on participating attractions and the PhotoPass Collection product would provide you with high resolution downloads of all those images after your trip. Just be sure to have all the photos linked to your account at the time of redemption. To purchase the PhotoPass Collection product, simply visit Main Street Photo Supply Co. at Disneyland Park or Kingswell Camera Shop at Disney California Adventure Park and have valid military identification ready.
I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is full of magic and memories!
