Hi Cheryl,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are happy to help with another great question!
Let me say first that I had to do some research. When at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, your pet will have some fun as you
navigate the resort. And, you have selected a great boarding option for your pet with
Best Friends Pet Care.
Since only service animals are allowed on
Walt Disney World Transportation, I spoke with someone at Best Friends Pet Care. Although they do not offer a shuttle service at this time, she did say that some guests had used a ride share service like Uber or Lyft. If using the Uber app, for example, you should be able to actually scroll through the ride options and select "Uber Pet."
Although we have not traveled with a pet, we have used ride share services while at the Walt Disney World Resort and they have been a quick and convenient way for us to get from place to place. The efficiency has been most useful as we have hustled to get from our resort hotel to a theme park for an early
dining reservation. Or, we have used it to get back to the resort hotel more quickly when leaving a theme park.
I trust that you will be able to get your dog to daycare. New friends are waiting and play time will be amazing. Be sure to call Best Friends Pet Care directly to verify their operating hours and procedures as they may change with certain health and safety measures. Most of all, you will have some free time to ride, ride, ride! Remember to make your park pass reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system and keep your eyes on the
operational updates as it gets closer to the dates of your trip.
Cheryl, sending you lots of pixie dust trusting that you will find a ride easily on the days you need to drop off your little (or maybe not so little) one!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
