We are planning a trip to Florida and will be spending 2 days in Orlando. We are traveling with 2 other families and kids ages range from 3-17. We will be visiting 2 parks and want to know which parks would be the best to please such a wide age variety.

    Hiya Jackie!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for letting me answer your question! Your trip is going to be here before you know it and I have some ideas to make it amazing!

One of my favorite parks to visit in Walt Disney World Resort is Magic Kingdom Park which offers classic attractions, thrilling rides, and character experiences that will entertain your entire family. From the iconic Cinderella Castle to the new TRON Lightcycle/Run you will find something for everyone. One of my favorite things that I tell everyone is a must-do is to see the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. This is no ordinary parade. This is every character you love, with amazing floats finished off by a fire-breathing dragon. I love how Walt Disney World takes 12 minutes of my day to insert a ton of magic, joy, and music. My tip for this is to watch it from Frontierland and once it passes head around the corner to Pirates of the Caribbean which is a ride for all ages! (I have to let you know there is one small drop and some skeletons to warn the 3-year-old about if needed.)

Another great park to consider is Disney's Hollywood Studios. Many people don't realize that this Park has expanded so much over the last few years. It now has a large Star Wars-themed area called Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which is incredibly immersive and has some exciting thrill rides perfect for anyone over 38 to 48 inches tall. Make sure with any ride or experience to see the height requirements on your My Disney Experience Mobile App. Don't miss Toy Story Land where kids of all ages can pretend to be a toy in Andy's toy box! The 3-year-old will find they can have fun with the older kids on Toy Story Mania! One of my family's favorite rides is Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway which is a trackless ride using amazing projection technology!  The older and more adventurous ones can check in to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror where you risk not being able to check out! (Insert spooky voice) Then end the evening by watching the INCREDIBLE nighttime spectacular called Fantasmic! Seriously, don't miss it.

I hope this helps and that you all have a magical time! Let me know if you have more questions as you always have a friend in me!

My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
