    We are planning a trip the first week of Dec. with our 5 and 2 year old. Because of their ages we want to stay on the monorail, but have also considered Animal Kingdom. Which is the best for their ages and holiday decor?

    The holidays at Walt Disney World are so magical!  All three monorail resorts are wonderful but if you are looking for just a bit more in the decorations then I suggest the Grand Floridian.  The lobby is exquisite and the life size gingerbread house is the star in the decor.  All resorts will have some sort of decoration...last year the Contemporary had a huge Mickey wreath hung on one side of the end windows. 

    Animal Kingdom is a popular resort but for the holidays I would strongly suggest one of the monorail resorts.  Being close to the Magic Kingdom with views of the beautiful castle decked out in its millions of lights is worth the extra fee!  For younger children I prefer either the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian but you really can't go wrong with any of them.  Enjoy planning for your magical holiday!
