I am planning a trip for the first week of Dec. We have stayed at POR several times, but are lookig at CBR or AOA for this trip. I will be traveling with 2 adults, dd 7 and DS 1. What do you suggest as we are used to the moderate resort.

Hi Allison! Early December is a great time for a Disney visit as you will be able to enjoy the holiday events that take place in all four parks.

My suggestion for a change although I do enjoy Port Orleans myself, would be the new Art of Animation resort. It is a value resort but has a few more amenities then the other values. I would consider the new Family Suites which will offer you a completely separate bedroom with a queen bed and then a living area with other sleeping options for the kiddos. You can have a portable crib for the one year old and place that in either the bedroom or living area but it will give you room to put kids to bed and still stay and enjoy tv or lights on for reading for yourself.

Another option that can give you separate sleeping areas are the cabins in Fort Wilderness. This is a moderate and you will also have a full kitchen to prepare simple meals to save money during your stay. Fort Wilderness is a great area of the property where many guests never venture but they are missing a real treat. Every night you can enjoy Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong followed by a movie under the stars. It is also home for the wonderful Hoop Dee Doo Revue and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.

I personally find the Caribbean Beach resort too big and I prefer an easily accessible lobby just in case I need to check on my room bill or any other part of the reservation during my stay.
