Planning a trip for the first full week of Oct. 09. During this time, which i have been told is slower than others, will it be necessary to make ADR for all of our table service meals. We would like to have some flexibility.

Hi Brooke.   The answer to balancing flexibility versus having confirmed dining reservations is a tough one.    The good news as you point out is that early October is generally on the slow side so even if you chose to go without making any reservations you should have flexibility at quite a few restaurants.

With that said, I would identify the top dining options that are a "must" for your and your family.   These may be special character and/or princess meals.   Dinners shows are also very popular and typically sell out at all times of the year.   For these meals, I would plan on getting your advance dining reservations in as early as possible to make sure you secure these.   Remember, you are not locked in and can always cancel if something changes.   However, its more difficult to try to get in last minutes to the more popular dining events.   Hope this helps!
