We are planning a trip in Ferbruary 2021 for our whole family, kids, and grandkids ages 1-1/2-50, 8 of them small children many who haven’t been before. We have hotels, flights and many gift cards. Can we be optimistic they will be open?

    Welcome to planDisney, Shala!

Oh! I really hope so! While we still don’t know for sure when the Disneyland Resort theme parks will open, I’m really looking forward to the day we can return to the full magic of The Happiest Place on Earth! One thing is for sure: the Disneyland Resort officials, planners, and Cast Members will be ready for the big reopening. Given that they were well on their way to preparing for a reopening on July 17, 2020, I’m confident the resort will be ready to safely receive Guests as soon as authorization from state and local governments is granted. From your description, it sounds like you are ready as well! I hope your vacation proceeds as planned and even exceeds your expectations.

Just a few weeks ago, we drove down I-15 from Utah to visit the Disneyland Resort as it was beginning its phased reopening. After months of the entire resort being temporarily closed, it was such a pleasure to take in a little slice of the magic of the Disneyland Resort as we enjoyed dining and shopping at the Downtown Disney District. The health and safety protocols in place at the Downtown Disney District helped us feel at ease as we all did our part to make our Disney day Incredible. Even though we were unable to visit the theme parks, our Southern California vacation was a success!

I’m sure that as soon as you are able to return to the Disneyland Resort, you and your family will have a marvelous time. Whether it’s the first visit or the hundredth visit of members of your party, each will enjoy a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious experience.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Shala. I hope you’ll come to visit us again with any more questions you may have as you prepare for your Disneyland Resort vacation.
