    We are planning a trip in February and will be buying annual passes. I wanted to know if I can buy our annual passes now so that I can receive the hotel discounts but activate them when we go in February? Or will they be active immediately upon purchasing?

    Congratulations on your upcoming vacation. You are doing a great job planning in advance! In fact, I did the same thing you are planning on doing. I purchased my first Walt Disney World Resort annual pass in advance of my vacation in order to “lock in” the Resort hotel discounts.

    You will be able to enjoy some of the many benefits that accompany being a Walt Disney World Resort annual passholder, including seasonal discounts on select Disney Resort hotels, as soon as you purchase your annual pass! However, your annual pass will not be activated until you visit Walt Disney World Resort in February. The only way for your annual pass to become “active” is by visiting a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window, Disney Springs Guest Relations location, or any other Guest Relations location and activating it there.  I encourage you to purchase your annual pass now and start enjoying those awesome Disney Resort hotel discounts and special offers!
