We are planning a trip in February of 2022. Should we book the 499 days in advance or wait until the packages are announced? Thank you, Gene

    Hi Gene!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am very happy to see that you are planning ahead and thinking of your next vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.  It is never too early to start making your plans!  I always make my hotel reservation as early as it becomes available.  This way, you are assured of a booking at your first choice of Disney Resort hotel, for your preferred dates.  The good news is that when packages or special offers are announced you can usually amend your booking to add the special offers to your reservation.  Please note that this could be subject to change, but currently, as long as you make your amendments before the 30-day mark before your vacation starts, you should be able to amend your booking.

You will have plenty of time to make all your plans, well in advance of your visit.  You might enjoy reading these Vacation Planning pages, and we have our very own Disney Parks Moms Panel Video Library full of hints and tips from our panelists which will give you some great advice and ideas for your vacation.

At this time, as Walt Disney World Resort is set to re-open in July, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations can still be a magical experience.  Please read this Disney Parks Blog reservations update for more information, and keep your eye on any new posts from the Disney Parks Blog as more official details are announced.

We know you have many questions about what this all means for your upcoming visit. Please know we’re working to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, and we look forward to providing an update as soon as we have more information to share.  Come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
