Planning a trip Feb 2012 (7 wk old, DD 5th bday & vaca b/f DH's deployed) using Military Honors. Looking at 1 bd villas but need help with which one has the most to offer for days we couldn't make it to the parks & ease of commuting to and from?

    Hi Beth!

My three favorite Disney Deluxe Villas are the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, the Beach Club Villas, and Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  My favorite is the Wilderness Lodge, but that's mostly because I love the theming and everything else about the Wilderness Lodge.  In terms of having something to do when not visiting the parks, the Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge both beat the Wilderness Lodge.  In terms of location, the Beach Club is the clear winner.

The Beach Club Villas is located on Crescent Lake between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You can walk to Epcot (and even walk to the Studios but it is a very long walk) or ride a boat that travels to Epcot and the Studios.  There are plenty of things to see and do along Crescent Lake, including renting bicycles.  Also, the pool at the Beach Club is absolutely amazing!  Stormalong Bay is a sand bottom pool divided into three sections and has an awesome water slide; there's also a smaller one for younger guests like your 5 year old.  Stormalong Bay is easily the best pool at Walt Disney World; it's like a mini-water park!

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
