planning a trip in feb 2018, two small kiddos, age 6 and 4. How much of the park will be closed for renovations? Will toy story land be open yet?

Hello Raegan!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

With so much to offer and Walt Disney World Resort ensuring a safe and exciting experience for Guests, there is always a chance that some attractions, Resort Hotels or sections of Theme Parks will be shuttered to allow the Pixie Dust to do its job.

During the winter months (December to End of February), either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed for yearly renovations and refurbishments during your visit.

The other major construction project going on at Walt Disney World Resort is the opening of Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park. The opening of these 2 additions is not scheduled to occur until 2019 and will not be available during your February 2018 experience.

This construction does effect the overall scope at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park, but there is still a lot to do including Toy Story Midway Mania and Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.

Instead of focusing on what will not be available, I always focus on what these closures mean for improvements and additions to the Walt Disney World Experience.  In your case, be sure to take a look at experience Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

    Have a Magical Vacation!
