We are planning a trip in Feb and will be staying at the Jambo House. How long are the commutes from the resort to the parks and is it complicated? Is there a schedule at the resort that we can follow? Thank you

Hi Christi! The Animal Kingdom Lodge's Jambo House is a great Resort choice!

Disney transportation is not complicated at all, and from the AKL-Jambo it is particularly easy to use. You will exit through the main lobby and turn left. The bus stops are down the walkway a bit. There are benches to sit on, and signs telling you where to wait for each bus to the Theme Parks, Downtown Disney and the Water Parks. You'll simply stand there until you see a bus pull up with "Magic Kingdom", "Epcot" or wherever your desired destination is on the front. Climb on board, and you'll be dropped off right near the gate to the Park.

The buses come every 20 minutes or so. You should give yourself about an hour from when you head to the bus stop to when want to be at the gate to a Park. This is because you never know if you have just missed a bus (so you could be waiting a while) or if one is coming around the bend (so you'll be ahead of schedule). The exception to this is Animal Kingdom Park from the AK Lodge. It is located a bit closer to your Resort, so plan on 40 minutes as opposed to an hour. This is playing it safe, as it most likely won't take you that long.

As far as a schedule of when the buses start each morning, simply ask the Front Desk at check-in as this varies depending on the time of year.

Hope this helps and have a magical vacation!
