    I am planning a trip from Feb. 26th- Mar. 4th of this year (2022). I want to purchase Magic Bands. Do you know when Magic Band plus will be available to purchase? I didn’t want to buy Magic Band 2’s if the Plus will be available before our trip? Thanks

    Hi Bryan, and welcome to planDisney!

    When the new MagicBand+ was announced via The Disney Parks Blog back in September, I knew that my family and I had to experience this interactive MagicBand as soon as it became available for purchase. This band has Gesture Recognition, in addition to customizable color changing lights and Haptic vibration? Sign me up!! In addition to all of that amazingness, you will still be able to use the MagicBand to connect to your Disney PhotoPass and check in at Lightning Lane. Also, as a Disney Resort guest, you can unlock your door or charge your food and merchandise with the turn of your wrist. 

    Currently, no actual launch date has been announced, but keep an eye out for the Disney Parks Blog or their related social media accounts to help determine when MagicBand+ will be available for purchase. The current MagicBands are still available for purchase up to 11 days prior to your arrival. I recommend waiting as close to that window as you can, just in case the MagicBand+ becomes available.
