We're planning a trip in Feb (5 days) with 10 & 12 year old boys & would like suggestions as to where to stay. We'd like to do MK, Epcot & Animal Kingdom, and probably one day outside of parks -any help is appreciated!

    Hi J!

What better way to escape the winter weather than with a trip to Walt Disney World! Walt Disney World Resorts have something to fit every taste and budget, so there is literally something for everyone.Value resorts are still in the middle of all the magic and help stretch your Disney Dollars at the same time.  I recommend Art of Animation and Pop Century,as they are my favorite in this category.  If budget allows,Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my top choice!  Not only is it my favorite, but it also comes highly approved by my twelve year old son.The majestic lodge makes you feel as if you are in the Pacific Northwest, but is brimming with Disney magic, in fact Magic Kingdom is just a short boat ride away.

February is great time to go to Walt Disney World, the weather will be warm, but not boiling and the crowds tend to be lower this time of year.Although the parks are not typically crowded, as President's Day Weekend approaches be prepared for the parks be crowded.I would recommend touring the parks earlier in the week in order to maximize your time there before it becomes too crowded.  Based on that I recommend:

    Feb. 13 Epcot
    Feb. 14 Magic Kingdom
Feb. 15 Hollywood Studios ( I know you didn't include this one, but I wouldn't pass it up!)
    Feb. 16 Animal Kingdom

If you have any thrill seekers you may want to reconsider visiting Hollywood Studios,it is home to two of the most thrilling rides at Walt Disney World; Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.I would possibly save your last day for rest and relaxation, maybe hanging by one of Disney's AMAZING resort pools or try a little bowling at Splitsville in Downtown Disney.

I have a lot of tips for first time visitors, but just not enough room for them here.If you need anymore help, please don't hesitate to ask me!

    Happy Planning
