We are planning a trip in Feb. We are booked at PO riverside thurs-sun but we would like to add Wed at AOA little mermaid room. What will we need to do to switch hotels? And is it fairly quick and easy? We have a1 &4yr old

    Hi Betsy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

I really love split stays because then I can enjoy two Disney Resort hotels in one visit! I have just recently enjoyed staying at two different hotels with my mother, my husband and our 6-year-old daughter. We had a very smooth transition, so I am going to tell you about our experience.

The night before checking out from one hotel and moving to the second, I called Front Desk to ask about our luggage transfer. They instructed me to call Bell Services in the morning until 11:00 a.m. to ask them to pick up our luggage in our room. The next day we called when we were packed up and ready, and sure enough they came up to our room, put tags on all pieces of luggage we had (even a cooler and two cases of water) and took everything away. We were informed that our luggage would be available at the next resort after 3:00 p.m.
We then left to spend out day at Epcot, and later in the afternoon we went to our second Disney Resort hotel to start our next stay. We went straight to Bell Services and sure enough our luggage was there waiting for us. We asked them to take our belongings to our room and it was all very smooth. Please note that someone must be in the room to receive the luggage, so at first everything is sent to the next hotel’s Bell Services.

My suggestion is to talk to Bell Services when you arrive at your first Disney Resort hotel to inquire about this transfer to the next resort, since procedures are subject to change. Don’t forget to keep important items you might need during the day with you, as you might not be able to access your belongings until the designated drop-off time at the next hotel.

I hope this helps you while planning, Betsy! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Best magical wishes,
