We are planning a trip in Feb 2013 for 2 adults, (2) seventeen and (2) 15 year olds. When would be the best time to start looking for promotions for this time period and which resort will be best for us?

Though the moms aren't privy to any inside information as to when (or if) discount offers will become available, we can make educated guesses based on historical information, Darla. For 2011, package discounts for February travel became available in mid-August, 2010.  Room-only discounts were also offered in mid-August for booking through the end of the year.  Offers for late February travel became available for booking right around the beginning of 2011.  For 2012, package deals were offered beginning in August, 2011 with room-only offers becoming available in October.  Based on that information, I would begin looking for February discount offers now through the end of the year.  The special offers page is a great way to keep up on what is being offered.

As for a suggested resort, do you prefer just a single room?  If so, Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort offer accommodations for families of six.  The cabins at Fort Wilderness can also accommodate a party of that size.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
